Today.com has been bought out by MSN. I tried to make money with them only to end up using them as a great one-way link source. Basically, blog a little and then send a little link love back. That was my pay and I was happy.
Then, I get the standard your account has been deactivated email (read: you’re ass is banned) not to long ago.
Today (pun intended) I see the news that MSN bought the Today.com domain for their morning show. I’m going to guess $12,500,000 for that ultra premium domain. Plus I’m sure the owner of Today had to sacrifice at least ten thousand a month in ad revenue. I just wonder how the logistics worked out for giving the hee-ho to all those dedicated bloggers who were actually blogging their ass off and making a name off their Today.com URL.
Who knows, maybe they just banned me for only blogging once a month with my standard one or two link rate. Even humongous domain deals can happen in just 4-5 days (negotiation, money transfer, and contract).
What a huge deal. Every now and then something makes waves on the net. This is one of those times.
Oh and by the way, pardon the dust but I have no rhythm for the theme of this blog. I think I’ll go away from the boring beginner stuff and just go crazy from here on out. Be sure to send me lots of free traffic and do follow links for no reason whatsoever.
