If you came here looking to find the html color hex color for the Twitter logo, you came to the right place. I’ll tell you what the Twitter logo color is as soon as I write enough text to get a page impression. Hey, I have to at least get a page impression for this, right? Anyways, if my color code for the original Twitter logo ends up helping you, it would be pure gold if you sent me a link back from some random blog post. I’m trying to get ranked for “make money on the internet” so you know how that goes.

Anyways, the color for the Twitter logo is #33ccff.

Here is a super fast tutorial on how to make a Twitter logo using gimp. Hey Nerdstrom, slow your ass down.

I tried out Affinity Ads, got two 6 cent clicks and checked out like I was 6 minutes into a school lecture. I first saw Affinity on GoArticles, there weren’t many reviews for Affinity Advertising so I figured I may as well be the first to try out peaches and peanut butter. Suckily, peaches and peanut butter don’t go together but it was still worth a try.

I only used one of there two ways of displaying ads. One is text links similar to Google Adsense. The other is like a jumbled box of tags which is unlike Adsense. Either way, someone clicks and you get money. Money = Good for You.

I got two clicks. One was from myself and the other was legit. For all of you boy scouts, no I wasn’t trying to scam anybody and no I don’t click on my existing ads. I just wanted to find out if click 1 was a fluke or not so the experiment could be over. Anyways, it didn’t look like anybody got hurt.

I got sent to one of those scammy pages that tries to be all encompassing where you search for things under a general topic and then they funnel you somewhere else. In the end, I don’t even think I ended on any one individual site. I got funneled and then funneled again. I think I saw a third generic funnel-esque page and threw the white flag into the middle of the field. The flag read, “I’ve wasted enough time.”

I will say this for Affinity, they were nice to me and personally handled my account. We’re talking myself and one of the non-regular employees went back and forth to set me up. Perhaps when they get some real advertisers they can become bigger and better but that day isn’t today, it isn’t tomorrow, and it wasn’t two weeks ago.

I’m going to go ahead and let them keep the 12 cents in my account. With the interest they can earn off that, it should get the ball rolling. Maybe 2 days from now they can hit the big time.

By the way, if someone can tell me why so many companies can’t compete in the PPC racket, please inform me. Is it technology, is it greed, is it lack of publishers? I’m always minorly amazed that no one has been able to rival Google Adsense yet.

If you’re trying to get in on the Yahoo Publisher Network and you’re a “small publisher”, you can forget about it. Effective April 30, everyone but the major platforms was Xed from YPN.

From the Horse’s Mouth:

Earlier today, Yahoo! emailed a small group of publishers participating in the Yahoo! Publisher Network self-service beta program (also known as “YPNO” or “Yahoo Publisher Network Online”), to inform them that we have decided to close the program effective April 30, 2010. This only affects our self-service platform for small publishers who syndicate our Content Match (contextual) listings.

That really fcking sucks and it’s a damn shame. Yahoo is one of the few companies that has contextual ad capability (or does it?) and a reputable name to buy into. I tried several times to apply to the program but could never get the page to load.

Is Google Adsense really that great of a formula not to be duplicated. I mean whoever can create the next contextual ad program with decent payouts is going to be rich, but it seems like no one is willing to step up.

I Tweeted earlier to day that I’m going to try Affinity, a new advertiser in the long list of many. Hopefully Affinity can prove viable, but given the long line of disappointments, I highly doubt it.

It’s not that I don’t love Google Adsense, it’s awesome. But at the same time, if they ditch you, where are you going to turn?
